"Brief songs for the sanctuary on holidays presented to .........Maria"  A collection of 60 manuscript vellum leaves plus 2 pastedown leaves, each measuring 15 1/2" X 24" printed on both sides each displaying music and text in red and black ink on 5 line staves of red,  containing rubricated letters and pen work in red and black. Text in Latin. Front pastedown featuring  a 5 1/2" X 6" a hand painted miniature of red, blue, green, brown, white and gold depicting Christ with a crown of thorns in the upper left corner. Damp staining along first two leaves, a few leaves displaying some minor fading of the black ink, binding worn and splitting at joints, hinges with spine deteriorating but still holding well. Although incomplete, it is quite rare to find these works complete and intact.
